This study investigates the gap between theoretical awareness and practical application of green chemistry principles in academic laboratories, surveying 43 personnel on resource management, waste disposal, and institutional support. While respondents demonstrated strong theoretical awareness, practical implementation indicators (such as waste documentation and training) scored significantly lower, revealing a, 3.41/5, moderate adoption rate plagued by disparities between attitudes and behaviors. The findings indicate that the primary barriers are structural and institutional, necessitating a shift towards accountable, well-funded, and policy-driven sustainability measures in research settings.
