Information For Authors

These guidelines are designed to assist authors in preparing their manuscripts for submission to the Journal of Sustainable Research in Applied Sciences (JSRAS). Adherence to these instructions will help ensure a smooth and efficient review and publication process.

  1. Manuscript Preparation
  • Language: Manuscripts should be written in clear and concise English or Arabic.
  • Template Use: Authors are strongly encouraged to use the provided JSRAS Word template, which automatically configures the correct dimensions, thus eliminating the need for manual styling of margins, page size, and column size.
  1. Manuscript Components

The manuscript should typically include the following sections in the order presented:

  • Title: A concise and informative title.
  • Authors and Affiliations:
    • Full names of all authors.
    • Affiliation details for each author, including University Name, Faculty, Department, and Country.
    • Clearly indicate the corresponding author with an asterisk (*) and provide their email address.
  • Abstract: A single paragraph abstract ranging from 100 to 300 words. The abstract should briefly outline the research's objectives, key findings, and significant conclusions. It should be self-contained and should not include references. Any essential non-standard abbreviations should be defined upon their first use in the abstract.
  • Keywords: Provide a maximum of six relevant keywords that accurately reflect the content of the manuscript. Example: Keywords: Keyword1, Keyword2, Keyword3
  • Introduction: This section should provide background information, state the research problem, and outline the objectives of the study.
  • Subsections: Divide the article into logical subsections to enhance readability.
  • Figures and Tables:
    • Figures and tables should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Fig. 1, Table 1) and placed within the text where they are first referenced.
    • Each figure should have a concise caption placed below it.
    • Each table should have a concise title placed above it.
    • Ensure that figures and tables are of high quality and are easily understandable.
  • References (Vancouver Style): Cite all sources in the text using sequential numbers in square brackets (e.g., [1], [2, 3]). Provide a numbered reference list at the end of the paper in the order they appear in the text. The reference list should follow the Vancouver style format as outlined below:
    • Journal article: Author(s). Title of article. Abbreviated journal name. Year;Volume(issue):pages. Example:
      Habberrih A, Abuzaraida MA. A review of the available Arabic dialects datasets for Sentiment Analysis. J Sustain Res Appl Sci. 2024;1(2):30-37.
    • Book: Author(s). Title. Edition. Place of publication: Publisher; Year. Example:

  1. Submission Process

Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts electronically through the journal's online submission system.

  1. Peer Review

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer-review process.

  1. Final Checks

Before submitting, please ensure that:

  • The manuscript is complete and all authors have approved the submission.
  • The language is clear and grammatically correct.
  • All figures and tables are properly labeled and referenced in the text.
  • The references are complete and follow the JSRAS style.
