A Study on Solving Fuzzy Linear Programming Problems

Abstract

In this research, the problem of fuzzy linear programming was studied, and the definition of the fuzzy set was presented, along with the definition of triangular fuzzy numbers and the basic operations on them. The method of converting a fuzzy number into a crisp number at a specific significance level was examined, and this method was used to compare fuzzy numbers.

Fuzzy numbers were applied to linear programming problems where the parameters are uncertain due to instability in real-life situations. An algorithm was proposed to solve the fuzzy linear programming problem when some or all of the objective function coefficients and constraints are triangular fuzzy numbers, along with illustrative examples of the algorithm.
