Correction and Retraction Policy
Correction and Retraction Policy
The Journal of Sustainable Research in Applied Sciences is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Accordingly, the journal adopts the following policies in case of significant errors or academic misconduct:
1. Corrections (Errata):
If an unintentional error is detected (e.g., in data, authorship, or wording that does not affect the overall results), authors or editors may request the publication of an official correction (Erratum) in the next issue of the journal, clearly indicating the error and the approved correction.
2. Retractions:
A published article may be retracted in the following cases:
-
Clear evidence of data fabrication or falsification.
-
Confirmed plagiarism or academic theft.
-
Duplicate publication in more than one journal.
-
Major errors affecting the reliability of the results that cannot be corrected.
In case of retraction:
-
An official retraction notice will be published explaining the reasons for the retraction.
-
The original article will not be removed but will be marked as “Retracted”.
-
Metadata will be updated in indexing and bibliographic databases.
3. Author-Initiated Retraction:
Authors may request retraction before or after publication, provided they submit a formal justification. Such requests are subject to editorial evaluation.
4. Corrected or Republishing Versions:
If a corrected or republished version is issued, all modifications must be clearly described, and the new version should be electronically linked to the original article.
