Plagiarism Policy
Definition:
The journal defines academic plagiarism as the use of text, ideas, data, or results from others without proper attribution. This includes:
-
Direct copying without quotation.
-
Paraphrasing without proper citation.
-
Undisclosed self-plagiarism.
-
Translating content from another language without referencing the source.
Detection Tools:
The journal uses reliable electronic tools such as Turnitin to detect text similarity, with an acceptable similarity index of 20% (excluding references and properly cited quotations).
Procedures in Case of Plagiarism:
-
Before Peer Review:
Manuscripts are immediately rejected if substantial plagiarism or complete copying of previously published work is detected. -
During Peer Review:
The review process is immediately halted, and the case is referred to the editorial board for a decision. -
After Publication:
If plagiarism is confirmed post-publication, the article is formally retracted, a retraction notice is published, and the relevant academic or funding institution is notified.
Sanctions:
-
Manuscript rejection with formal notification to the author.
-
Banning the author from publishing in the journal for a minimum of two years.
-
Permanent ban for repeated violations.
Context Consideration:
A higher similarity percentage may be acceptable for review papers after reviewing the author’s justification.
